Welcome to the Harborside of San Jose Vendor orientation page!

On this page we will update current market conditions for your medical vending convince. The aim is to better satisfy our patients needs by providing you the vendor with valuable information regarding how much demand there is for the particular medicine(s) you wish to provide. Our goal is to save time for both you and our purchasing department in reaching a broad diversity of all medicine (strains) available in the market. This will allow you to save time, money, gas, and potentially mitigate any risk you may undergo in transporting your goods to us. Our list(s) will change from time to time so please check our website for any updates. We at Harborside seek to make the experience for our patients and our vendors the safest and most convenient in the industry. Thank you for your time, dedication and generosity.

Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments will have first priority.

Call (408) 321-8424 to schedule an appointment during purchasing hours.

Medicine we are currently not accepting:

Grows that have experienced severe pest, mold, or less than satisfactory processing processes.

We discourage any use of systemic pesticides such as Avid, Floramite, etc...,plant steroids, such as Gravity and/or harsh chemicals fertilizer additives.

Every flower and concentrate that we purchase is laboratory tested for THC, CBD, and CBN quantification, as well as for the presence of pathogenic molds. These results will be available to you when you come back to pick up the payment for your medicine.

  • All sales are contigent on mold test results. This means that if your medicine tests positive for pathogenic molds we must return it to you. This is only approximately 2% - 4% of our purchases.
  • Harborside has the highest standards for medicinal cannabis; please do not be discouraged if you do not sell us your medicine the first time. Many people try several times before succeeding, please keep coming back.

Requirements For Clones:

Here are some basics that you will need to know:

  • All clones must be free of pests and diseases (including powdery mildew, downey mildew, pink rot, etc.) and from visible signs of pest damage on leaves.
  • Clones must have visible root growth and have healthy white roots, not brown or tan roots.
  • Clones must have at least 3 internodes on the main stem with healthy fan leaves at each internode.
  • Clones must be at least 4 inches tall and main stem must be 5mm (approximately 1/6") or larger.
  • We recommend clones be treated prior to vending with some form of pest and disease control spray on a consistent bases. We have had good results with Concern copper soap or a mix of Zone and Penetrator for fungus, mold and mildew, Spinosad for thrips and budworms and Gnatrol or any Bti product for fungus gnats.
  • We require 2 full trays (50-72) per strain cuttings.
  • Main stems must be green and healthy
  • We require a sample of the finished product to verify that the cuttings are represented.

What is Clean Green Certification?

Clean Green and Best Practices Certification is a garden inspection program. As an advisor, with over 40 years experience in agriculture, and a USDA "Organic" Certifier Chris Van Hook, founded the Clean Green Certification Program.

Clean Green is an alternative to the USDA's exclusion of medical cannabis growers from participating in the USDA "Organic" Certification Program. As a licensed California attorney, Chris follows procedures to ensure confidentiality of information provided to the purpose of Certification, even from law enforcement.

Medical cannabis patients now have the benefit of an independent, third party certification that the cannabis was grown, processed, handled, stored, transported, packaged, labeled, and distributed using standards and procedures that comply with national and international guidelines for organic and sustainable farming.

Like the USDA "Organic" Certification Program, Clean Green Certification includes both the growers and the collectives/cooperatives/dispensaries that distribute products labeled "Clean Green Certified." Certification includes both the grower and the distributor.

Please contact Chris Van Hook at (707) 464-6913 or by email at cleangreen@earthlink.net for more information.

What is Best Practices Certification?

Best Practices Certification is run with the same protocols of the Clean Green Program. The only difference between the two programs is the following: the Best Practices Certification Program does allow the limited use of synthetic fertilizers and inputs in a limited and responsible manner.

Please contact Chris Van Hook at (707) 464-6913 or by email at cleangreen@earthlink.net for more information.

Be a Responsible Provider:

Irresponsible growing results in environmental damage and gives a bad name to the community and to the movement as a whole. We respectfully request any and all providers to abide by environmentally friendly and safe growing techniques.
Some standard practices to ensure safe and clean grow rooms:

  • Safe disposal of nutrients
  • Safe disposal of diesel fuels
  • Proper/safe wiring
  • Properly filtered intake and outtake
  • Sulfur burners for mildew prevention
  • Sanitization between every harvest
  • Avoid toxic pesticides
  • Take all mold, mildew, and pest preventative measures
  • Keep animals out of all areas

Please be a responsible provider!
